PHYSIOTHERAPY CAMP ORGANISED BY LPU AND PEHAL


Lovely Professional University successfully completed a week long Physiotherapy Camp held at Maqsudan village in Jalandhar in collaboration with renowned NGO- Pehal, for imparting free medical check ups to people ailing from different diseases. A team of 4 doctors from LPU was deputed for treating patients. Dr. SS Walia, Civil Surgeon-Jalandhar inaugurated the program where around 400 patients were treated for various ailments like body stiffness, joint pain, sport injuries , paralysis and aging problems through physical exercises, and steering away from chemical prescription.


Several patients praised and thanked the initiative by LPU and Pehal for making them able to get free and quality medical facilities as they would have never visited any doctor elsewhere because of expensive treatment.
Shri KD Bhandari, MLA Jalandhar- North concluded the week long camp and lauded the efforts made by LPU in imparting free medical services to the patients. Er H.R. Singla, Director General-LPU and Dr. Monika Gulati, Dean-LSAMS were also present on the final day of the event. Er Singla, while addressing the gathering said that being a socially responsible organisation, LPU constantly strives to find more and more ways of extending good to the general public. The real motive of education is to bring positive transformation in the society, and all undertakings at the University are aimed at achieving this objective.
